The biggest event for the entire food sector has traditionally been held in Poznań. For the industry, Polagra begins in autumn, and this is a group of fairs that gives customers a comprehensive overview of the market, is extremely colorful and attractive in its offer. From  Saturday, 23 September, the Tastes of Regions Fair began, to which on Monday - September 25 - a whole block of business fairs joined: Polagra Food, Polagra Tech and Pakfood, Polagra Gastro and Invest Hotel, and also the most important Polish competition for chefs: Culinary Polish Cup. For six days, the global life of the food industry was vibrant in the capital of Wielkopolska.

The Polagra Trade Fair in Poznań is for the food and catering industry the opportunity to learn about the latest trends, technological solutions, as well as the promotion of the Polish economy. Last year's exhibition was created by over 900 exhibitors from 36 countries and visited over 51 thousand. visitors. The exhibition was completed by a wide portfolio of training, conferences, competitions and culinary demonstrations. The guests of the Fair came to Poznań from all over Poland, but also from abroad, as part of the Hosted Buyers program from: Singapore, Tajikistan, Uzbekistan, Lebanon, Egypt, Qatar, Romania, the Netherlands, Great Britain, Germany, Belgium and Ukraine.


The Poznań event is the largest trade fair for the food sector in Central and Eastern Europe. Stands of both Polish companies and international corporations attract prime ministers and the latest achievements in the field of food production and technological innovations. So what confirms the power of the fair as a business tool that gives more? Well, it is the opportunity to hold real meetings in one place and compare real offers of producers or distributors. Polagra is also building business confidence through an on-site conversation in a favorable environment with the opportunity to meet people who create a company and see its products.

Polagra Food
In 2017 at the Polagra Food fair, it was possible to get acquainted with the offer of over 200 exhibitors. The exhibition was dominated by the Polish dairy and meat processing industry. These two sectors were presented by a large group of market leaders, and their stands featured products well-known from shop shelves in Poland, as well as many new products. Cheeses without lactose, without GMOs, meats prepared on the basis of home recipes are a trend that could be seen at the Poznań fairs. Polish producers have also prepared surprising ideas for cheese and meat snacks, including those most sought after by consumers today, namely healthy, fit and ecological. In addition to the meat and dairy industry, fruit and vegetable processing companies as well as producers of sweets, snacks, teas, beverages and spirits took part in the fair. Entrepreneurs from 21 countries also presented their offer, including from Belarus, Egypt, South Korea, Romania, Turkey, Ukraine, Italy, Finland, Bulgaria, Germany, Hungary, Lithuania, as well as Malaysia and Sri Lanka.This year, the Polagra Food fair will take place in May. As the organizers of the event inform, the decision to change the date was made after extensive consultations with the industry. It aims not only to allow the sectors to participate in the fair, which in the autumn, due to the accumulation of works, could not present themselves at the fair, such as wine producers, but first of all to bring traders into the line - the distributor whose effects would be visible in the same year. The May edition of the fair also expands the possibility of pre-testing new products in the first half of the year and is a chance to contract their sales for the second half of the year, in particular for the Christmas period. - explains Filip Bittner, Director of the Product Group.

Polagra Gastro i Invest Hotel - a harmonious duo
The Polagra Gastro and Invest Hotel Fair for the next year in a row together created a comprehensive exhibition for the HoReCa sector. Presentation of the latest technological solutions and equipment of gastronomic establishments and accommodation facilities will undoubtedly become an inspiration for changes that will improve the standard of customer service or increase the comfort of their stay, as well as expand the range of services.
It is worth noting that, in addition to the new exhibition, the participants of the fair had the opportunity to take advantage of a wide range of training and culinary demonstrations. During the 17th edition of the competition, the international Jury of the CPP awarded the highest marks to Bartosz Peter and Rafał Kudliński, who represented Copernicus Toruń Hotel ****). The winning team prepared a mosaic of quail (starter), autumn apple with smoked cream (dessert) and halibut with autumn additions (main course). In the following places Paweł Salamon and Maciej Pisarek (second place) and Paweł Kubera and Kajetan Świokła (3rd place) took the podium.

Polagra Tech and Pakfood - a well thought out strategy
